There have been a number of new clubs launched in the last few weeks, some with massive marketing pushes, and others a little less boldly. The only one I can really comment on is the Titleist 913 line of drivers, fairways and hybrids.
As with the previous line, there's two clubs – a 913 D3 and D2 model, with the D3 being designed for the better player. It has a smaller head (445 ccs) and improved CG. Rory McIlroy had this in the bag when he won the PGA as well as down the stretch at the FedEx Cup playoffs where he won twice more.
The Titleist 913 D2 driver, which is more in my own personal wheelhouse, is 460 ccs, also has improved CG and has a face insert that I thought delivered really good feel. I hit this one a lot higher than the driver I have now and that's a good thing for me.
Of course we had the luxury of having a fitter on site who tuned the club perfectly to my specs through both the proper shaft, Golf Clubs For Sale the interchangeable weight located in the heel of the club and the innovative SureFit Tour hosel technology allows loft and lie to be independently adjusted. But that's something every golfer should have done before they make purchase anyway.
This is part of Titleist's approach to widening its brand to appeal to those who don’t have a single-digit handicap but are still avid players.
