Luke Donald returned to the top of the world rankings after winning a four-man play-off at the Transitions Tournament in Florida.
The Englishman, who was using Mizuno MP-59 Irons, finished on 13-under-par for 72 holes, along with Robert Garrigus, Sang-Moon Bae and Jim Furyk. Donald found the rough on the opening play-off hole, but a stunning 7-iron approach from 157-yards cleared the front bunker and rolled to within six feet.
The Mizuno MP 59 best price feature many of the same features of their harder-to-hit sister product, but a titanium insert allows for more discretionary weight to increase the MOI, golf clearance making them more forgiving and easier to use. Mizuno's forging process helps to avoid inconsistencies which in turn means more reliable distance control with each iron.
Furyk and Bae failed to make birdie, so it was left to Garrigus to put the pressure on Donald, but the American's effort slid by the hole, giving the 34-year-old the opportunity to take the title. Mizuno MP-69 Irons The MP-59 irons built on the success of the much-loved 58 model, but it's worth noting that there is less offset in the new product and the small head makes workability an option for the better player.
Donald had Mizuno's MP-T11 wedges in the bag, as well as a Fli-Hi CLK hybrid. The Ryder Cup star was also using a TaylorMade RocketBallz driver and fairway wood.
