I'm sharing my cable connection from my iMac to my iPad, the iPad will see the wifi and worked fine before until a few days ago. Even with 3.2.1, a restore, a DFU restore the ipad won't get online. It sees the SSID and the password works correctly. Even displays full signal, but Safari and all apps report being offline. Took me a while to get all my apps back on the pages I had had them, but no problem... The kind of reset I am talking about is when you hold down both the exterior buttons until the little silver apple logo appears. That apple logo sits there for over 7 mins before I can use the iPad. Its the same with turning it off, when you swipe the thingy when prompted. My iPad has always done this, even since before the recent software update. I will try doing the reset through iTunes that you mention though. I like my iPad so much that I rarely even bother to turn on my main computer.
