Ping has introduced its new G25 range, featuring a series of impressive new designs and performance enhancements. The 2013 range of G products is comprised of the G25 driver, the G25 fairway woods, the G25 hybrid and the G25 irons, as well as the Scottsdale TR putters.
The new Ping G25 Driver continues that trend. It is the largest-profile, most forgiving driver Ping have made. It features Trajectory Turning Technology and variable-thickness face design for added distance, high launch and low spin.
The ultra-thin-crown and aerodynamic design redistributes weight along the perimeter of the clubhead, cheap golf clubs moving the CG (centre of gravity) farther back and lower than any previous Ping driver. This new CG position increases the clubs MOI (moment of interia) and makes it extremely forgiving.
The Ping G25 Fairway Wood is their highest MOI fairway wood. It employs an Extreme Variable-Thickness Face and a low-profile, forgiving design for greater distance, higher launch and increased distance. And it features a slightly larger head design with a traditional shape that is easy to align with the target. The charcoal non-glare finish helps with alignment and inspires confidence.
The Ping G25 Irons are high-launching, game-improvement implements with a dark, non-glare matte finish. They have a re-engineered Custom Tuning Port and provide long-iron forgiveness and short-iron control. The boost to launch angle is achieved in part through Ping's Custom Tuning Port, which is ingetrated into the sole to move more of the clubhead's mass low. The CTP also aligns behind the clubface's impact zone, another way of lowering the center of gravity and boosting MOI.
The G25 hybrid uses progressive CG positions for optimised trajectories and external sole weighting for high MOI.
