General Discussion - Titleist MB 712 Irons for the Titleist Fanboy jessicadelia - Fri Jan 04, 2013 12:51 am Post subject: Titleist MB 712 Irons for the Titleist Fanboy
I had been playing a Titleist ZB iron set for a few months and decided to get something new. I was shocked the very first time I used the Titleist MB 712 Irons.
The best price mb 712 irons are traditional forged blades that offer solid feel, contemporary looks and advanced shot control for the highly skilled golfer. Once you find the sweet spot and slow down the swing a little what a accurate set of clubs. They shoot out like a rifle and straight as a arrow but you can work the ball with a little practice.
I actually tried the Titleist AP2 712 Irons but like the MB much better. When I saw these irons on the shelves, I thought... that it was a Miura 1957. It has a very classic look and the head , like Miura 1957 is actually smaller by about 10%, making the sweet spot very very small. The lines are pretty much perfect imho, on address, you can tell that these have very small heads plus thinness.
When it comes to feel, I have to say that these particular blades are actually rather comparable to Mizuno. It's very buttery, but then again, you have to have a pretty darn good swing to get that feel. The tweaks to the sole design and the heel and trailing edge reliefs do make this a lovely iron to hit, especially from tight lies. It also enables a little more mass to go into the muscle back behind the face for a more solid feel.
In conclusion, if you are a Titleist fanboy who must have everything Titleist with money to burn, then you'll be happy with these irons.
