Mizuno have announced the release of their gorgeous new MP-63 iron, designed for the better player.
The iron is being launched to replace the hugely successful MP-62 iron, which has performed brilliantly on Tour - most notably in the hands of Luke Donald. Cheap golf clubs The Englishman played a pivotal role in the initial development of the club and it is interesting to get his take on the new iron.
And Donald has been pivotal in the development of the cheap MP-63, which features a Diamond Muscle back to improve vibration at impact. The goal of the MP-63 was to be an evolution of the MP-62 by improving feel and versatilty without compromising the profile such as head size, topline, offset and sole width.
The result is an iron with the same head length as the MP-62 and a sole and topline that plays thinner but with a bigger sweet area and higher MOI. As you would expect, the head is grain flow forged from 1025E pure select mild carbon steel. Mizuno MX 300 Irons The irons also feature a flow cavity depth meaning slightly bigger cavities in the long irons while the heads of the longer irons are also slightly larger for increased confidence.
The sole of the MP-63 also features a 360 degree grind on the trailing edge which reduces playable sole width and makes the topline appear thinner without affecting structure.
