民族消亡是民族发展的历史趋势和历史规律。民族消亡是受社
会发展规律制约的。民族只有经过全世界社会主义建立和发展的阶
段，才能走向融合、消亡。民族特点的稳定性和长期性及客观发展过
程，决定了民族融合、民族消亡的独特的过程和特点。
民族发展与民族消亡间是辩证关系。民族特点的发展与民族融
合因素的增长，在一定意义上是互为条件的。民族越是发展，民族间
共同性的东西越多起来。到了社会主义充分发展的阶段，这种情况
更加明显突出。
全世界各民族将经过一定的发展，最终走向融合、消亡。这是一
个客观规律。民族融合不能作为我们的行动纲领和口号。人为地干
预和违背民族发展规律是有害的、也是行不通的。
在民族融合、民族消亡理论上，我国曾出现过差错，造成严重的
社会后果。我们应该记住这个历史教训，正确认识和对待民族融合、

(三)民族同化与民族融合的区别
民族融合不同于民族同化。它们在发生的时间、发生的范围、发
生的结果上不同，实现的途径上也有所不同。
民族同化在民族发展的整个过程中都有可能发生。它是个别民
族的单方面的变化，结果只是个别的民族消失，民族数量的相对减
少，而民族现象依然存在。
民族融合是人类社会进人共产主义社会以后实现的，是全世界
一切民族范围的变化，其结果是人类的民族差别、民族界限的消失。
民族作为客观实体自然消失，出现新的人类统一体。
