Samsung has announced that Galaxy Note 10.1 supports AVI videos, however playing AVI files on Samsung Note 10.1 is not that smooth, as AVI is a container format with various codec types, some of those codecs ( including Xvid ) are not compatible with Galaxy Note 10.1. So the best solution is to transcode Xvid to a friendly output video format for playing on Galaxy Note 10.1.
1. To finish the video formats conversion , a professional third party conversion software is necessary,I recommend you to try Brorsoft AVI to Note 10.1 Converter for Mac , please download and run it on you mac, then add XviD files to it.
Directly drag and drop XviD files to the program. Or you can tap the "Add" button to import files. Batch conversion is available, so you can add several files at one time.
2. Choose the output format
Click the "Format" option and select Samsung > Samsung Galaxy Note(*.mp4). It’s the proper output format for the Note 10.1 tablet with optimal video codec, video size and frame rate. Of course, you can also select H.264 Video(*.mp4) from Common Video profile as the output.
PS: Before the XviD to Galaxy Note 10.1 Mac conversion, you can:
☆Split the current XviD AVI file into segments
☆Merge several video clips into a large new file
☆Adjust or choose a special effect for your movies
3. Start converting XviD AVI to Galaxy Note 10.1 on Mac with H.264 MP4 output
Hit the "Convert" button, letting the Mac Galaxy Note 10.1 Video Converter do the rest for you. You can also set "Shut down computer after conversion".
After conversion, what you need is to copy or put XviD AVI movies to Galaxy Note 10.1 on Mac OS X. Afterwards, you will be able to enjoy the AVI files in XviD codec on your Galaxy Note 10.1 at ease.
