I have an avi file I wish to burn to DVD as a movie.
I need to edit my .avi file because it is too dark.
I do this with VirtualDubMod and then use Nero to burn the result.
So why am I asking the question?
Because I’m told this is NOT a good way.
But I can’t make the 'good way' work.
I am told my way converts from avi, then edits, then converts back to avi (all that in vdub) and then converts to mpg (in nero).
Too many conversions. Too much loss of quality.
Convert to mpeg they said. Edit the mpeg. Then burn that. Just one conversion.
I can see the sense of that.
So I convert to mpeg using TPMGEnc and I select DVD for output and I get TWO files. A .wav for sound and an m2v for video.
The editor I was planning to use was Movica and it can’t see the m2v.
I can’t find an editor that can see the m2v.
