Fianl Cut Pro is the most popular Video Editing Software for Mac users. But FCP users may meet many issues about editing AVCHD due to incompatible format. Below is an example about Sony HDR-XR550 AVCHD Footages to FCP importing issue.
"Hi, I downloaded the FCP to try it out and see if it would work with my HDR-XR550, for some reason i cannot seem to import any files. I want to be able to import the files and edit my video. I have read a few threads with some negative comments and difficulties importing files. So, it would be great if someone gives a hint as to how to do it. I have played with it for sometime now, and dont seem to understand how to import the video. Thus, i assume i am missing something."
From the problem, we can know the user can't put any file from Sony HDR-XR550/XR550V into FCP on Mac OS X. If you are also a Sony HDR-XR550/XR550V user, you may be familiar with the importing issue.
