You may have Canon XF camcorders, such as XF305, now you want to edit Canon MXF footage in iMovie on Mac, but imovie can't import MXF files. There is a solution, of course, to help you transfer MXF footage to imovie.The next few steps will show you how to do with Canon MXF shootings (taken with Canon XF100, XF300, or XF305) before importing the Canon XF footage to imovie.
Before processing, you're suggested to
1. Transfer mxf clips from Canon XF 305 camcorderto Mac computer.
