iTunes to PlayBook- How to Sync and Play iTunes movies on PlayBook
Summary: Have some movies purchased from iTunes store and want to play these iTunes movies on the BlackBerry PlayBook? Get the iTunes to PlayBook converter here!
The Blackberry PlayBook is a fantastic portable media player for watching movies. You may have purchased lots of Movies/TV shows/Videos formatted in M4V from iTunes store in the past. When you want to download and play iTunes videos on PlayBook, you are only told that the WebOS Tablet cannot play them due to Apple DRM restriction.
So how to transfer movies/tv shows/videos from iTunes to BlackBerry PlayBook so that you can enjoy the videos on the go? As we know, movies purchased from iTunes store are locked by Apple DRM protection and can only play on Apple products like iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, QuickTime, etc. In order to watch iTunes videos on PlayBook, you have to remove DRM from iTunes movies and convert iTunes movies to PlayBook compatible video formats. Along with some help from a 3rd-party tool.
If you're looking for ease of use and interested in doing likewise, I've had success using Pavtube's ChewTune, a top iTunes Movie DRM Decorder to transfer lots of iTunes videos to PlayBook. I've found the quality to be excellent, and see no difference when compared to playing the iTunes videos themselves. Just download the DRM converter and follow the step-by-step guide below to learn how to copy/put iTunes purchased movies onto BlackBerry Playbook.

2. Select the output format. Here I recommend you "BlackBerry > BlackBerry Playbook Video(*.mp4)" which is a format special designed for BlackBerry Tablet and also supply full screen effect.
Below is the best format settings for PlayBook per my experience, you can take it as reference:
Video
Codec- H.264
Resolution- 1280×720 (HD)
Bitrate- 1500/2000kbps
Framerate- 25fps
The supported resolution of PlayBook goes up to 1080p, though video playback and most apps never break out of 720p. For watching videos on the BlackBerry Tablet, 720p with 1500~2000kbps is just all right. I find that bitrate higher results in big file size, and lower visible quality loss.
3. After above steps, just click "Convert" to start removing iTunes DRM protection and converting iTunes files to PlayBook MP4. The conversion proceeds as iTunes plays the movies. So DO NOT turn off iTunes until the conversion is completed. Now go get a cup of coffee (conversion takes time).
When the conversion finishes, you can click "Open" to locate the DRM-free MP4 video files. And then you can simply use the Blackberry Desktop Software to sync the converted iTunes videos to your BlackBerry Playbook.
