The new Apple TV 3 was released on March 7 with the new iPad 3. It can sync or stream movies, music and videos from a computer running iTunes as the old Apple TV and supports 1080p HD. You may have some AVCHD ( MTS/M2TS ) video files from Sony, Panasonic, Canon or other Camera. Thus why not transfer and play them on new Apple TV 3?
Howere, the new Apple TV 3 only can play H.264 video up to 1080p, 30 frames per second, High or Main Profile level 4.0 or lower, Baseline profile level 3.0 or lower with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats. It means you have to convert AVCHD to Apple TV 3 compatible format with a third software Tool.
Here we take Brorsoft Video Converter as an example. It can transcode any video like AVCHD, MTS, M2TS, MOD, TOD, MOV, ect to Apple TV 3 and any Andriod Tablet at a 5-6X faster speed with AMD/CUDA Technologies. What’s more, it can edit your videos, such as eliminating the shifting of the videos, adding the watermark and adjust the effect of the videos keeping original video quality.
Guide: Transcoding AVCHD Camera MTS/M2TS recording to the new Apple TV 3 keeping original quality
