Canon XA10 HD Professional Camcorder, able to capture AVCHD video at bitrates up to 24Mbps, the camcorder's native 1920 x 1080 CMOS sensor also lets you choose 60i, 24p, PF30, and PF24 frame rates for customizing the look of your footage, which is designed for situations where mobility is critical while shooting, shares nearly all the functionality of the Canon XF100, but in an even smaller, run-and-gun form factor.
Canon XA10 recording file is AVCHD ( MTS/M2TS ) video format. Some people want to transfer and import Canon XA10 AVCHD to Avid Media Composer for further editing on Mac and have a better enjoyment. But, they find that what claims on Wikipedia is not so right--- your files can not be imported to Avid Media Composer.
