DGN is short for Design which is also 2D/3D drawing format used by Micro Station construction design software. The use of DGN format is also widely in many large projects, including buildings, highways, bridges, shipbuilding. However, DGN is not as widely-used as DWG. Step 1: Add files
Double click on the DGN to DWG Converter. Launch the software after installation and directly click on the "Add File" options to input your source DGN files from local folder.
Tips:The pro version supports to input batch files in one go.
Step 2: Define Output Settings
If you want to save output files to the save folder as the original DGN files, then you did not need to change anything. If you want to save in different folder, then you can click browse to rename the file for keeping.
Tick the "DWG" option, and then go to the "DWG Version" drop down list to choose your wanted output AutoCAD file version.
Tips, for Pro version, if you want to save the converted files as the original DGN files, tick the box under the task window. If not, click browse to set the different folder.
Step 3: Convert DGN to DWG Files
After you've done all above settings, you only need hit "Convert" at the bottom to start DGN to DWG conversion with ease.
Optional step: After conversion, the window will pop up to remind that to view the converted file or not.
