iTunes M4V to Sony Tablet-Play iTunes M4V movie on Sony Tablet S without DRM restriction
Question: So I bought the Sony Tablet S and I'm wondering if it's possible to download my itunes m4v videos to my Tablet. I can't figure out how to get a M4V video onto it. I have lots of HD movies formatted .m4v from iTunes store, I wonder if the Tablet S can play these m4v files?
As we know, The M4V file format is a video file format developed by Apple and Apple uses M4V files to encode TV episodes, movies, and music videos in the iTunes Store. The copyright of M4V files may be protected by using Apple's FairPlay DRM copyright protection. The unprotected M4V files without AC3 audio may be recognized and played by Tablet S by changing the file extension from ".m4v" to ".mp4" using a M4V video to Sony Tablet S Converter. To play a protected M4V file, the Sony Tablet needs to be authorized. Unfortunately the Android devices have not get a license to play DRM contents, which means DRM protected M4V movies will not play on the SONY Tablet S.
However, there must a way to use the DRMed iTunes videos on the 9.4-inch Android tablet. As far as i know, the best solution is to remove DRM from the m4v videos and convert M4V to Sony Tablet S compatible formats (e.g. H.264 mp4) along with some help of the 3rd party tool. When it comes to free iTunes m4v videos from DRM restriction/protection, Pavtube ChewTune is about as good as it gets. The DRM remover will easily make free iTunes m4v videos out of DRM-protected contents. Moreover, video and music purchased from Amazon and Digital Copy from Blu-ray/DVD can be also converted to fit your Tablet S and other Android devices. While the playback of the converted iTunes videos is smooth and decent as possible as original.
Simple Guide: Remove DRM restirction of iTunes M4V movies for Sony Tablet S playing without problems.
Note: Before conversion, you'd better set it not remember position.
Here's way to go: Launch iTunes, and switch to "Movies" under LIBRARY. Select the videos you'd like to convert, right click on them, and select "Get Info". Switch to "Options" tab, find "Remember position" and select "No" from its drop-down list. Click "OK" to confirm.
Step 1. Run the DRM remover and Converter Tool, drag and drop iTunes m4v videos to the program.
Step 2. Click "Format" and select an output format for Sony Tablet S. Here I suggest you choose "Android > Motorola Xoom H.264 video *.mp4" to quickly get output format for Xoom that can also be played on the Sony Tablet S with high quality.
Tip:
Click on "Settings" you could easily set bitrate, frame rate, codec, channels, sample rate, etc to adjust parameters that affect video quality and file size for the video you prefer. After that, you can click on "Save as" to rename the profile, such as "Sony Tablet S (*.mp4)". Next time, you can easily find it in "Custom" category.
Step 3. Click the big "Convert" button to transfer DRM protected M4V video to Sony Tablet supported mp4 video. The conversion proceeds as iTunes plays the movies. So DO NOT turn off iTunes until the conversion is completed.
