Convert Blu-ray ISO to MKV 1080p for streaming Blu-ray from Mac HDD
Don't blame PLEX media hub for not streaming Blu-ray ISO to WD TV Live Plus media player, as not any DLNA streaming media hub actually streams .iso files. An .iso file is a disk image, which can be burnt onto a Blu-ray disc or played on Mac, but can not be streamed-it's not a streaming media format. In order to stream Blu-ray movie to HD media player/HDTV, you have to convert Blu-ray ISO to streaming media format, e.g. MKV or MP4. . Ripping Blu-ray ISO to MKV 1080p will help you keep stunning video quality while reduce file size greatly. The following guide shows you how to convert Blu-ray ISO to MKV 1080p video so as to stream Blu-ray movie from Mac HDD.
Step 1. Install and launch Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper on your Mac. To load Blu-ray ISO image, simply click "IFO/ISO" button and navigate to the Blu-ray ISO image.
Step 2. When the Blu-ray ISO is loaded to Blu-ray Ripper, the main movie is selected by default. If you also need other titles, just check them.
Step 3. Select subtitles and audio track (English, French, German, Spanish…) for each title. Select/highlight a title, then set desired language from the drop-down list of "Subtitles" and "Audio" box. You can preview the subtitles and audio in the preview window. Forced subtitles can be attained, too.
Step 4. Set MKV 1080p format for conversion. To ensure 1080p FULL HD video quality, you can click on the "Format" bar and select "HD Video > MKV HD Video (*.mkv)" format.
After the Blu-ray ISO image is converted to MKV 1080p HD video, just back to the software interface, and click "Open" to find converted 1080p HD videos for streaming. With either PLEX or Boxee installed you can easily stream 1080p MKV video from Mac/Mac Mini to HDTV via HDMI connection.
