I started watching Madmen Mad Men dvd after it had been on TV for several seasons, but was interested in going back to the beginning....hence the DVD purchase. I was surprised at how much I had missed and all of the roots to later episodes that were plotted in the first season. This degree of detail usually doesn't happen in early episodes, true blood dvd but I found the foundations for many of the themes that ran through episodes in the later seasons to be kindled in the drama's first season. I just love this as a period piece; the amount of drinking and smoking at work, the treatment of women are so aptly portrayed. The acting is impeccable; the sets to die for. This is a great source of entertainment. supernatural dvd I highly recommend it. As a big fan of the 50's and early 60's era, I love "Mad Men." The fashions, artwork, jazzy lounge music, and superb story line (performed by phenomenal actors) makes this a must have for every DVD collection. how I met your mother dvd Some may be offended by the racial slurs and stereotypes but that was the '50's/'60's. Hopefully it reflects how we have evolved (for the better) as a society. Granted, we still have a long way to go but no society is perfect. Kudos to writer Matthew Weiner for keeping it real.
