Playing Blu-ray with XBMC on MacBook Pro/iMac
Every thought of playing blu-ray on Mac? Even though there are not any Mac blu-ray players, you can enable blu-ray playback for your MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac, etc.
What you need for Blu-ray playback on Mac:
An external blu-ray disc drive
Pavtube ByteCopy for Mac (click to download a trial)
XBMC media center (click to download freeware)
Steps:
1. Mount your Blu-ray disc in your external drive (of course you should buy one first).
2. Use Pavtube ByteCopy for Mac to backup your entire Blu-ray disc as an MKV file for that there’s no way for Mac OS X to directly playback your BD movies due to an authority limitation. Simply run the app, load your disc and click MKV button, then wait. It takes no longer than an hour or two to copy a whole blu-ray movie to Mac.
3. Run XBMC and play Blu-ray movie on Mac just like any other common video.
With Pavtube ByteCopy for Mac and XBMC, you can easily play Blu-ray with XBMC on MacBook Pro/iMac.

To rip Blu-ray to iPad 2, Apple TV, iPhone 4, iPod Touch, etc or shrink blu-ray contents for QuickTime playback, have a try with Pavtube iMedia Converter for Mac.
