I just got a Panasonic SDR-SW20 for my birthday gift. I am a diving lover and I am really amazing with SDR-SW20 underwater shooting. This is my first camcorder, so I do all the options by following its manual. The manual says the movie format is mpeg4 but the file extension on the SD card is .MOD.
When I intended to import Panasonic SW20 recorded MOD files to the free iMovie for editing, it is disappointed that MOD files from SW20 can not be recognized by iMovie. And then I google how to edit SDR-SW20 MOD files in iMovie, I found a MOD Converter which is named Brorsoft. This MOD Converter is indeed a helpful assistant tool to make my MOD recordings to iMovie.
Following is the step-by-step guide on how to convert MOD to MOV and then import them into iMovie.
Step 1. Import Panasonic SDR-SW20 MOD files to Brorsoft Mac MOD Converter.
Install and run Brorsoft MOD Converter for Mac as the best Panasonic SDR-SW20 MOD to MOV converter and then click “Add” button to load MOD files to be converted.
Step 2. Choose MOV as the output video format for importing and editing in iMovie.
Click“Format” option and choose “Adobe Promiere/Sony Vegas”->MOV (AVC) (.*mov)” as the output video format. You can get the best video for iMovie by choosing this format
Step 3. Start SDR-SW20 MOD to iMovie .mov. conversion.
Click the big convert button at the bottom right corner, you can start the conversion from SDR-SW20 MOD to MOV for iMovie conversion.
Tips:
1. This Brorsoft MOD Converter for Mac also supports MOD video files produced by other Panasonic camcorders, like SV-AV100, SDR-S100, SDR-S150, SDR-S10, SDR-H18, SDR-H200, SDR-H20, SDR-H60, SDR-S7, SDR-SW21, SDR-S26.
2. If you would like to get a video converter which can not only convert MOD files, but other video like AVCHD (Lite), TOD, MKV, TiVo, VRO, VOB, MPEG4, AIV, Brorsoft Video Converter for Mac is your best choice.

The camera connection kit is great. However, does anyone know how to remove the photos once they are copied? I like to use my iPad to view and backup photos when travelling via the camera connection kit, but find it incredibly tedious to remove them after as it seems you have to do it one photo at a time. I know that iPhoto can import and remove the photos, but that option doesn't work for me as I use other software to import. It would be nice if you could manage the photos in iTunes after they are copied to the iPad, but that option doesnt seem to exist. rip dvd mac ZZZzzzzz another boring .mp3 player with fragmented music services behind it. Perfect for the person on your shopping list that pirates music. I'm sure this will make Android an even bigger development platform. But, as long as Samsung feels the need to copy rather than innovate, more power too them. Fandroids everywhere get sloppy seconds again congrats on that.
