"I am now working with iMovie 9 and have managed to build a movie about 7 minutes long and about 1.1 gig in size. My video files are AVCHD Lite from my Panasonic FZ35. I believe it's best file type as described as mpeg2 (720P) but iMovie gives it the .mts extension which YouTube is rejecting. What are my options to get it packaged and accepted."
The question described above is the quoted one from cnet forum. And one month ago, I also had the same problem with the above guys. But now I found an efficient solution to upload edited 720p AVCHD Lite files to YouTube without quality loss. The only one program I use is a Panasonic AVCHD Lite video converter named Brorsoft MTS Converter for Mac.
Just with three simple steps I enable my 720p AVCHD Lite footages from Panasonic FZ35 to YouTube.
Step 1. Load Panasonic 720p Lite files to Brorsoft MTS Converter for Mac.
Connect Panasonic DMC- FZ35/38 camera to iMac or Macbook and transfer 720p AVCHD Lite footages from camera SD, SDHC or SDXC Memory Card to Apple hard drive. Run Brorsoft Mac MTS Converter as the best Mac Panasonic AVCHD Lite to FLV Converter and then click Add button to import files to be converted.
Step 2. Choose FLV video as output format for uploading to YouTube.
Click Format option and choose Flash Video->FLV H.264 Video (*.FLV) as the output video format. You may choose other formats like MP4, MOV for uploading onto YouTube. But I prefer to flash video.
Step 3. Start the Lumix DMC- FZ35/38 AVCHD Lite video to YouTube conversion.
Hit Convert button, the Panasonic FZ35/38 AVCHD Lite to YouTube conversion will be started immediately.
