FCP(Final Cut Pro) studio is popular mac application. Most mac users want to edit videos on Final Cut Pro. Apple's Final Cut Pro is a high-rating software considering video editing, compositing, and special effects package for the Macintosh.
Sometimes youcan’timport m4v videos to fcp because the encoder is not compatible. And bad news is: FCP only accept QuickTime compatible encoder like some H.264.
The best solutions I can ever think of is to use a m4v to fcp converter for mac to import M4V to your final cut pro on Mac OS X.
Step 2, Import M4V files to mac m4v to fcp converter (either by dragging files or clicking click “File”->”Add Video Files”).
Step 3, Make the output format as the Final Cut Pro in the Format list. You can also set other settings as you like. After that, click “Convert”->”Start Conversion” to convert files.
Note: You can change the setting for the output files by click the “settings”. Moreover, you can click” Trim”, ”Crop” “effect” button at the top to customize your vides to your needs.
Final Cut Pro(developed by Apple Inc) is a very powerful software. It is only available for Mac OS X version 10.5.6 or later, and is a module of the Final Cut Studio product. The most astonishing feature of this software is that it can log and capture video onto internal or external hard drive, and then it can edite them. The current version of Final Cut Pro, version 7, runs only on Intel processors. However, it is compatible with many hardware interfaces.
Final Cut Pro is compatibale with DV, HDV, P2 MXF (DVCProHD), XDCAM, 2K, and other film formats. Final Cut Pro version 6 claims better integration with Apple's other Pro applications and improved codec support for editing HD, DV and SD video formats. Good news is: mixed video formats are supported by Final Cut Pro 6 now in the timeline with real time support.
The tool for Final Cut Pro 6 to keep track of original film sources through the telecine editing processes is an application called Cinema Tools. Final Cut Pro 6 is part of the Final Cut Studio 2 suite, and also has the ability to edit natively in HDV.
