As we know, a VOB file is usually one of the corn files found on DVD video discs and contains the actual movie data. And there are VOB HD video as well as DVD now. If you want to view stand alone VOB files, you have to have DVD player software, like MPlayer OSX, VLC Media Player, etc that supports playing VOB files. If you want to import VOB files to iMovie, QuickTime, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, iDVD, etc, you have to convert VOB to those workable formats to iMovie, Final Cut Pro, etc, like DV, MOV, etc.
