What is MKV?
MKV, also known as Matroska, is a multimedia container format. It is not a video or audio compression format. I used to buy a lot of DVDs, but since I split my time between the US and Europe, I found that half my discs wouldn't play on my Powerbook. Actually you needn't to buy a specail converter for MKV format transfering , Xilisoft VIdeo Converter is a very good convert and contain neraly all the present video format converting and you only need to use it and will solve all the problem of converting ! THis tool is actually a very nice one !
