Redemption arrives on DVD
Dragon Age: Redemption arrives on DVD and cheap dvd for sale presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen, mixed in 2.0 stereo. Unfortunately, this really isn't the world's finest presentation. Cinematography, as noted above, is a touch flat. As such, the series' palette shifts around from scene to scene with little consistency. Contrast runs incredibly hot, too – especially outdoor sequences where the sun flushes away textures and facial details. The encode yields very little noise or compression artifacting, at least.The stereo soundtrack is equally underwhelming. Considering most consumer editing software programs can mix in 5.1, it really doesn't make any sense that this track couldn't have received a better sound design for dvds such as Will And Grace Box Set 1-8 . The stereo mix is fine, to be sure, but when it comes to epic fantasy, the emphasis should be on epic, and a stereo sound field just doesn't cut it in One Tree Hill Box Set 1-8 .
