iPad as a tablet computer with the large screen is now used for personal usage and business presentation. Sony HDR-CX550 with 29 wide-angle G lens and Dolby Digital 5.1-channel audio, is the popular camcorder for recording videos in 1080/60i. If you shoot videos with Sony HDR-CX550VEB, and want to present the HD videos on iPad, you may notice that the AVCHD MTS file could not be synced or streamed to iPad.
Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac is the recommended video to iPad converter on Mac OS X like Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard. The Mac iPad video converter does not only convert MTS to MP4 for iPad, but also downscale and deinterlace 1080i videos to the iPad supported resolution 720p.
Here I would like to demonstrate the quick steps for converting Sony HDR-CX550 1080i MTS to 720p MP4 for iPad.
Step 1. Load Sony AVCHD videos to Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac.
Connect Sony HDR-CX550 to iMac with USB cable to transfer .mts files from camcorder to Apple hard drive. Run Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as the perfect Mac iPad video converter, and click the "Add" button to load .mts videos.
Step 2. Choose iPad MP4 720p format.
Click the "Format" option, and navigate the mouse cursor to iPad > iPad HD Video(*.mp4) as the output format. The Mac iPad video converter will transcode Sony MTS to MP4 with H.264 as video codec.
Step 3. Convert Sony HDC-CX550 MTS to MP4 for iPad.
Click the convert button under the preview window, and the conversion from Sony 1080i MTS to iPad 720p MP4 starts immediately. The Mac iPad video converter will automatically deinterlace MTS and remove interlacing artifacts for perfect playback on iPad.
After the conversion, add the videos to iTunes, connect iPad to iMac and sync videos to iPad. You may also stream the output H.264 MP4 videos to iPad via Wi-Fi network.
Tips:
1. If you have other AVCHD camcorders like Sony HDR-CX350,Panasonic HDC-SD60, Canon HF S20, you may also use Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as the Mac video converter for iPad to transfer and present videos on iPad.
2. The Mac iPad video converter also converts TiVo, MKV, RMVB, AVI, FLV to iPad for HD playback.
