OS 2.1 on the iPod Touch, with the iPhone following shortly after. But that is exactly what happened: Jobs announced the iPhone update for Friday, but the Touch version showed up yesterday. I spent some hours trying to download it, getting only timeouts and error messages, but eventually it installed (smoothly and quickly). Here's what's new:
