Many people like to edit avchd or avchd lite video files with Windows Movie Maker, but Neither of these two formats is directly supported by Windows Movie Maker. This article will tell you how to import avchd (lite)files to WMM using AVCHD to Windows Movie Maker software step by step.
Part one: AVCHD and AVCHD Lite
AVCHD from Canon, Sony, Panasonic, JVC etc is a format for the recording and playback of high definition video.
